Another example of designing for the medium, this accordion tri-fold was built for a standardized format to take advantage of existing trim sizes and fold settings with the printer. Short runs could also be produced on a color copier without modification to the files. I leaned heavily on re-establishing the campus colors as a visual motif, and presented the new logo while keeping a refreshed version of the academic seal that had previously been used as the primary logo itself. I used my own photography of students and the campus to help with the visual appeal while maintaining a traditionally conservative, structured feel.
I also redesigned the simple website, created branded captive portal pages for the wifi network, coordinated registration forms and application materials, and redesigned the school handbook from scratch using free, open source software that the non-profit would be able to easily edit in the future without specialized design tools. To conserve on paper waste, I changed the format to a saddle stapled 5.5×8.5 and created printing presets to do automatic imposition and collating.
